ScribeKit Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
ScribeKit is built by trulyoffline. This privacy policy explains what data ScribeKit collects, stores, and shares. The short version: nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. ScribeKit does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no telemetry of any kind.
What we share
Nothing. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share.
How your audio is handled
All transcription happens on your device using on-device speech recognition models. Audio files you record or import are processed locally and never uploaded anywhere by the app. Transcripts are stored in your device's app sandbox. When you delete the app, all recordings and transcripts are permanently erased.
Exporting
When you export a transcript, you choose where it goes — ScribeKit does not initiate any uploads. The share sheet is a standard iOS mechanism that hands data to the app you select.
Third-party services
ScribeKit does not use any third-party services for transcription, analytics, advertising, or tracking. All speech recognition runs entirely on your device using local, on-device models.
App Store privacy label
ScribeKit's App Store privacy label shows "Data Not Collected" because no data is collected.
Suitability for regulated work
ScribeKit is architecturally private — audio never leaves your device during transcription. However, regulated compliance (HIPAA, attorney-client privilege, journalistic source protection) involves more than one app. Consult your compliance officer before using any tool for regulated work.
Children's privacy
ScribeKit does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and note the changes here.
